Hi Thomas .... How do you remove "Our Mercury" from fermented urine ?It hasn't cleared up to the point where I'd feel comfortable in removing our mercury,
Can you explain to me what the "straight path" is and what the "humid path" is ?I've firmly decided that it will be purely for the straight path, whereas the others ones will be for the humid path.
To my Understanding the Alchemist can get a Stone from any Living substance as theFrom his own insights, and from what I've been reading on multiple boards, I strongly believe the stone can be made of virtually any type of substance, depending on how you go about cooking it.
Can you tell me what "fortifying it with qi" is ?Urine is very simple, free and easy to procure (although it can be labor intensive if you try fortifying it with qi).

Great to see you are enjoying your lab work.![]()
To answer your first question, in page 104, the standard definition of mercury, which I'll refer to as "our" mercury to distinguish it from common Hg, is the portion of urine that has been gently distilled from the dry material.
Hello PilgrimWhat is your "dry material" in this instance? The BOA talks about distilling urine, which is of course wet.
And what portion specifically constitutes "our Mercury" do you think? The entire distillate gained until all the urine becomes a dry mass (ready to be calcined)? Or the first 10% of what distils off, or the first 25%? etc
Now, even though I haven't experimented with the humid path, from what I understand, it's very difficult to remove the last bit of our mercury from the very bottom when using a gentle heat (not exceeding 55 C). Therefore, I'm assuming some of our mercury still remains, so it's not entirely "dry".
Gloria Mundi would have you calcine the ashes, I don't believe this to be strictly necessary, from my research. I also want to avoid separating (especially) the oils from the earth.
The distilled, sharp water (our mercury), includes the entire portion that has been removed.
I'm still trying to figure out what the percentages are...but according to my teacher, the entire portion of our mercury can be poured back on the earth, over and over, until the stone forms (7-9, and possibly more cycles).
Stick around and find outIf you don't calcine the ashes/detritus, then how do you propose to get the salt?
Hi Seraphim,Random thoughts:
What is a Philosophical Day?
What is an Eagle?
What is a Gentle Heat? The Sun?
Thank you buddyThanks for sharing <3. I look forward to your experiments.
I'm not sure either, some say Heating and Cooling? Others speak more openly.
From Gloria Mundi:
"We must prepare an Earth as the First Matter and sow our Seed therein and the Earth will produce Fruit."
The Fixed becomes Volatile, and the Volatile must become Fixed. The Body becomes a Spirit and the Spirit becomes a Body - and then it becomes the Medicine, which changes from one colour to another."
"ARISTEUS, in his Second Table, says: Beat the Body which I have made known to you into thin Plates; pour thereon our Salt Water, i.e., Water of Life, and Heat it with a Gentle Fire until its blackness disappears, and it becomes first white, and then red."
Salt Water/Water of Life sounds interesting to me. Wonder what that could be?
One more matter, dear Seraphim, these two are the best definitions I've found for green lion, in any tract anywhere. This is more humid path stuff. Thanks for sharing <3. I look forward to your experiments.

"Take great Care, that you do not begin your Imbibitions of your Earth,If you don't calcine the ashes/detritus, then how do you propose to get the salt?
I feel like I have a very solid way of making the stone - which is the same way my masters have taught me, the same way they made theirs.
If you don't calcine the ashes/detritus, then how do you propose to get the salt?
Who are your masters out of interest?
Time will tell, dear friendThe Salt Water, the Water of Life, Our Mercury, Secret Solvent, Spiritus Mundi or whatever you choose to call IT .... this is what calcines the Earth (Our Patient, Our Gold, the Serpent, etc) in the Alchemic Process.
The Earth is being Calcined as it passes through the state of Blackness and all of this is performed at a low temperature ..... 30 to 50 degrees C.
I am looking forward to see where Thomas will get his Secret Solvent from.

Dear FriendHey Thomas, first of all, I wish you good luck on your adventure. I hope things turn out as you wish.
I have 3 questions, if you don't mind:
1. What are all the books and tracts that you would recommend for me to read if I want to fulfill my own path? Please tell me about the things that helped you gain confidence in your ability to succeed, sooner or later.
2. Based on your experience, how much time is needed to obtain the stone? I've seen you speak in terms of days, while others mention months or years. I just want to get an idea.
3. Would you be able to become my master or help me connect with yours? Iām really interested, and Iām not doing this for money, as I already live comfortably. Since a young age, Iāve always loved alchemy, and reading about it has allowed me to escape the matrix for a moment and dive into the complexities, yet the harmony, created by the All, which is fascinating. However, I often felt lost while searching online until I found this amazing forum with genuine and helpful users. Could you please help? Iām ready to contribute in any way to support your work and thank you in advance for your help.
Thanks a lot, and again, I wish you the best of luck from the bottom of my heart.
2. By my estimate, and according to the guidance from my mentor(s), probably around 1-3 years. My direct teacher was able to make the first iteration of the red stone in a year. She's in the process of further refining it. My other teacher claimed that it could be made in as little as 13 weeks, if one had the right knowledge and required tools. I think this is....highly optimistic. Generally plan to take at least a good year and a half or longer, depending on if any screwups happen.
Hello BlackHi Thomas
The basic foundation Stone does take 9 months to a year via the Wet Path but I have never heard of a Stone taking as long as 3 years (actual lab work).
I have also seen the basic foundation Stone completed in only a few weeks.
I do like to see your enthusiasm in your laboratory Work.
I am following your posts with interest.
