A melting furnace is not cheap, that's a lot of money for me.
Why don't you buy a gas furnace? Its not so expensive or you could simply build one, there are many videos on youtube explaining how to do it.

Does that not suggest then that the substance or solvent you are looking for to hold onto HIM can be found in the human body?
I see what you're saying and where you're going with this....and I don't really like it.
In case it's not obvious...IMO the biggest storehouses for HIM:
> for animals is in the blood
> for plants is in the roots

Does that mean that you can use blood as an alchemy substance or solvent?
Maybe...but the very thought of it sickens me.
i.e. If you want to keep loading a substance with more and more HIM then essentially make that substance mimic the human body or digestion system. Follow nature. Question is, how do our bodies pull HIM out of foods? Is it the hydrochloric acid in our stomachs or special enzymes etc?
My guess would be that it's the digestive enzymes which pull the HIM from food.
But that doesn't really help does it? Eg: you can't exactly buy a bucket of enzymes from the hardware store.

Plenty of foods, esp fruits contain various types of digestive enzymes, including Proteases, Amylases, Lipases and Lactases. As well as fruits those enzymes are also found in honey, kefir, saeurkraut, Kimchi and miso. Whether these are of any use in the work I don't know. But if it's enzymes that have the strength and capacity to "pull" the HIM out of the food and drink we take in, then preseumably those enzymes can pull the HIM from any other substance you have on hand that contains HIM. I guess the bigger question would be whether the enzymes, having pulled the HIM out, are capable of retaining it.

This sounds like a very interesting avenue of research to explore.
I’m sure that in the fullness of time this work will eventually be done and all the potential benefits will be discovered and utilised by the future society.
Perhaps you might be the first to start the ball rolling....do you feel the calling in your heart?

Perhaps on topic, this presentation discusses a probiotic path towards breaking down the magic within Azomite into an enhanced bioavailable fermented brew.

If of interest, here’s a direct link to the mentioned probiotic:

IMO a "philosophers stone" is simply a metal oxide which has been STRONGLY vivified with HIM.
Turns out I been vindicated by proper science research.
See THIS paper which documents the discovery of low energy nuclear fusion reactions with various metal oxides.
They gave it the name MOXY [for metal oxide fusion], but haven't yet discovered how to add [nor energise] HIM.

You might also check out this video [which is how I found out about the paper]:
