Good deeds (especially of such magnitude) seldom go unpunished, even if there's no oath.
When you made that post, I thought it was a veiled threat that you implied some some of punishment was due to me (and others) for the secrets that we reveal.

When I was 5 years old, I told my mother that I would some day discover a remedy to put an end to all human suffering, and that I would drop it (for free) from an airplane onto all areas on the planet.

I would probably phrase/motivate/rationalize it quite differently today, but the basic longing/passion/desire has not changed.
But then after I just now saw this post, I realise that actually at your core you have the same basic belief as myself.

Anyway FWIW, I recently watched the film "The Box" which had the central theme that if you commit bad deed in life you receive a bad punishment.
It made me think that the reverse must also be true in that a good deed, must also incur some sort of karmic reward.
So I decided to take your statement literally...and I've been trying to imagine some kind of reward coming my way (exactly as you said) :D

Initially I was against secrets and I considered it pretty dumb. Cast all the pearls before all the swine.

But with age, I think the correct version is: don't cast pearls before swine

Not because the swine doesn't deserve the pearls, but more so the wasted energy of casting them.

Pigs like slop. It's all slop to them. Even the pearls. Pearls, cabbage, corn, grain, compost, it's all the same to them. Their job is to consume. The slop factories pump out slop in all forms - some that look like pearls, for the more refined connoisseurs slop consumers. All that goes into making the bacon. The farmer that debates whether or not he should feed his pigs his pearls is already lost - it's a silly thing to think about.

The farmer looks down at his hand, clutching the pearls. Damn.. it was just grains of corn all along!

the pearl of great price!.PNG
