This is just my opinion but here it goes - as close to none as possible.

Tasteless, no odour, no medicinal effect - in fact I could see it possibly being detrimental in effect in its raw stage as it might suck in its identity from where it is place (take from the human body some of its vitality, speculation). An empty vessel, a virgin earth. Splendidly pure. St Didier describes it as like lime/calx.

A purely inert earth.

It would be nice to know how to maintain that sort of thing, in the world we live in.

But back to St. Didier. Was he the one who wrote about the red and white fumes? Can’t remember atm.

As it is magnetic to Spiritus/Life Force, yes, it may be detrimental to ingest in its primordial state, IMO.

Like St.Didier says, it is the Elemental Gold, that can attract the Astral Gold.

Virgin and pure - yes. But not empty. Just "sleeping". It is Sol & Luna, the two (dormant) Central Fires, the two "metallic natures" of Cyliani, ready to be "awakened" by the Mercurial Agency.

Additionally:

There is a significant difference between a "regular" salt and a Central Salt.

A regular deliquescent salt, like potash, attracts atmospheric humidity, but when desiccated, it returns to its regular salt form.

A Central Salt, however, "locks in" the Aerial Spirit and corporifies it into itself, and becomes more resinous and then more "waxy" and fusible, and does not revert to its initial solid state when desiccated from the regular humidity. Eventually it remains semi-fixed or even fluid, like a resin or a viscous liquid. The Marcasite 13 Letters people compare it to "oil" or "butter"

He is the author of The Hermetic Triumph.

Red and white fume, hmm. I don't think that's Didier. I think maybe Ripley. The term sounds more from that era to me.

Yes, thanks for that important distinction and I agree. It is inert in so long as it is not interacting with mercury. If it does so then the inner heat becomes alive and fixes the mercury into its being, softening it and making it appear more like quicksilver.
