A new book is edited "Process of Mr Yardley" translated in french by Jean Julien Champagne, in 1913.

http://www.archerjulienchampagne.com/m/article-125452760.html

Both french and English versions are in the book. With very nice hand calligraphy.

500 copies are edited only.

The exposed process is not complete, but in the same of the Rams material.

I have not yet read it, but I will give my opinion here afterward.

This process can also be found in one of the manuscripts (I forget which one at this moment) of Bacstrom that have been kindly uploaded here for free by the Getty Research Institute:

https://archive.org/search.php?query=creator:"Bacstrom,+Sigismond"

It is basically a variant on the Von Suchten/Starkey distillation of mercury from antimonial amalgams claim. The fact that Garden's son, who communicated the process to Bacstrom (Garden's father had gotten the process directly from Yardley), died in the very poorhouse that (ironically) he founded himself:

Would seem to strongly suggest that the process does not work, at least not as given.

That particular process can be found in Volume 14 of this set.

IMO the process seems to be based on an incorrect (i.e. literal) understanding of what the philosophical Mercury is. No wonder he died in a poor house.

Mr. Yardley's Process

Anyone know if this text is available in English? Been wanting to read it for some years now. Considering getting the french edition and trying to run it through an online translator but Im not sure ill be able to read Champagnes style of handwriting.

Seems like a key text to crack open.

Yes, please re-read what I wrote just before your post very carefully. Why are so many unable to read?

Chiliasticus had posted a brand new thread on the exact same text and I merged it with this one, so he probably didn't search before posting and therefore did apparently not see the older posts on this thread.

Note to everyone:
Please SEARCH before posting a new thread, there may already be another thread on the same topic.

Thanks for the clarification, Andro. Sorry for the misunderstanding, Chiliasticus.
