Watched it last night, and I agree it’s Brilliant.

Although now I’m trying to decide if I liked Phoenix’s Joker better than Heath Ledger’s. Not that it matters

Hard to compare because films so different in tone, but I think this new one has a far better Joker. More real, more depth... Ledger’s is more flamboyant and comic book like. Don’t get me wrong, he was great. I just prefer this kind more + the film is a great drama with or without Joker.

It’s the best depiction (with perfect pace) of descent into madness of any film I can think.

Did everyone sleep during the film? He killed because of what happened in the train. Once you kill one person no reason to not kill two people. That’s the spark.

Seen it twice now in the cinema, and because I was so into it the first time I never "heard" the music... there was so much to take in... now I have the soundtrack playing constantly. An awesome soundtrack by a great composer.

Every 5 to 10 years Holy Wood does create a real gem.
