Is there anyway to prevent the kissing disease mono or least get rid of it quick?

it is mostly theoretical projection based on studies such as below, and the anecdotal evidence of me having never gotten mono or cold sores after kissing or sharing beverages with people who had a history of mono or cold sores (cold sores are caused by herpes simplex virus 2)

I eat a lot of lemony things, but I also dope up on vitamin c, which is great for the immune system.
