I just learned about these recently, and couldn't wait to try one myself.
So this post is to document my little experiment to make my own.
First though I should talk a little about what these actually are.
There's a wikipedia article about them HERE.
The forum was first told about them by MerLynn.
He basically told us that he invented these devices, sold 30,000 units @ $2K each but that they can be easily assembled for around $600.
It also turns out that they can be bought off Amazon for around $140.
[MerLynn never used the term "ionic foot bath", but that's what the alternative health industry calls them]
My own understanding about them though is from a little earlier.
I first heard of the idea when Ren from the Joe Cell corpus described in the late 1990's (or early 2000's) that he knew someone who had adapted joe cell charging plates to fit inside a spa bath and that by bathing in the water while the plates were charging caused amazing health results to be experienced.
Unfortunately I can't give a link to this because it's no longer on the web.
Then, on THIS website, I came across the testimony that a horse owner was able to produce foals from 6 infertile mares.
The owner described that he/she achieved this by giving the horses foot baths which contained some kind of array of plates charged with DC electrolysis.
It turns out that foot baths already were a thing for horses and have been so for quite some time (see HERE for more information).
So it does seem pretty logical that a horse owner might put a joe cell type charging apparatus inside a horses foot bath after Ren's buddy already reported the same thing on a larger scale.
[In fact, Ren's buddy might even be the same person who treated horses feet in this manner].
And you'd have to say the next logical step would have been to put human feet inside an electrolysed bath to see if that also works.
And spoiler alert, yes, it looks like it also works for human feet.
Next, I should also say why I think it's worth making one of these.
I've already told the forum that IMO the secret sauce of alchemy, and many other amazing phenomena on this Earth, is the magic particles which enable the miracle of life to manifest in the world (aka Life force, aka HIM).
IMO the magic of these foot baths is due to these specific particles being in the water AND putting a big charge on them (through the electrolysis process).
IMO these same particles engender healing and vitality in living creatures as they absorb more and more of of this energetic charge which they're able to acquire and hold.
So IMO the only real secret to producing a healing effect from these kinds of devices, is to use water which already has these life force particles inside.
And IMO the best choice is groundwater which has passed through limestone collected from either a spring or a bore.
[I know MerLynn will strongly argue against with this statement with much derision and vitriol, but I'll have to revisit that in a later post.]
For now....let's get on with it.
Here's the ghetto version.....
I just stacked a bunch of 304 stainless steel plates together.
It's pretty rough, I separated them with pieces of artificial rubber sheet bought from clark rubber.
I used the same rubber around the top and bottom as a cusion to wrap zip ties around to hold all the plates together.
Then hooked some cut up wire coathangers under the cable ties to hang the unit over the side of a glass container.
There's 7 plates in total, I attached the positive wire to the 2 outer plates, and the negative wire to the center plate, leaving 2 neutral plates on each side.
---
Here's what it looks like hanging in the glass bath.
It leaves just enough room to put my feet underneath.
---
I powered it with an old 12V computer power supply.
Running the power through an RK6006 (buy from Aliexpress) so it can display (and regulate) the current.
[I only know about these fantastic little units because REL put the forum onto them. Thanks @REL if you're still around].
---
So connect up the leads, add some limestone spring water, put my feet in.
And then slowly start adding salt while watching the current.
---
Supposed to aim for 2-3Amps, you probably can't see, but I overshot a little.
I just used the dial to turn the current down after taking the picture.
---
After a while the water changes color.
---
After 30 minutes I stopped the bath and tipped out the green water (the brown stuff eventually dropped out and fell to the bottom.
It felt a little weird while I was doing the foot bath....
Reminded me of when I was a kid and someone was tickling me, it felt kind of nice inside and made me want to giggle, but yet I still had a desire to run away which I had to over-ride by convincing myself to just stay and endure it.
A couple of hours later I got really tired and had to lie down for an hour or so, even though it was the middle of the day.
That's definately not normal for me.
Anyway, my final word is I give this the thumbs up.
If it's good for a horse, then I'll wager that it's gotta be good for me too.
I'll almost certainly be doing more of them in the future.
