Harry Potter and the methods of spirituality

Harry Potter can be seen as the secret fire which develops into the stone. It is this secret fire which descends from the heavens, then finds rest in the centre of the earth, and then is released from the centre to the circumference on the "wings" of mercury (the moisture that it travels by), to produce every living thing.

Harry Potter started life off by being the only wizard to ever survive Voldemort's attack, whilst only being a baby at the time. What does this mean? Voldemort is the corruption of this lowly earthly sphere which contains the earth. It was seen as being the lowest sphere of the heavens as well as their centre, where the influences of all the stars congregated. So when the secret fire first descends, it has to overcome the dark influences of this lowly sphere, and this is what it means to defeat Voldemort. No other thing has this power but this fire (as well as true wizards like Dumbledore, who have attained wisdom by following a spiritual path, becoming themselves an incarnation of this fire).

So Harry Potter is like Prophet in this sense, already endowed with being an incarnation of the fire from his very birth. He is the fire incarnate, we could say, which is why he makes such a good symbol for the secret fire of the alchemists.

So having descended into this realm and overcome the dark influences of the earth, incarnated as Voldemort, he finds lodging in a house of muggles - the Dursleys. This house is of course just some random earthly abode. We see from the bad character of the Dursleys and their deep fascination and love for material wealth, and their fear for how people will perceive them if they find out about their connection to wizards, that they are deeply entrenched in the earthly nature. They are the opposite of spirituality. This is why they hate Harry Potter so much. They want to hide the secrets of nature and forget about them, just like most people who are alive unfortunately. Rather than embarking on the inward journey to regain the holy grail, they live in drunkenness and sleep until their death, which is when they wake up. So the Dursleys are an excellent portrait of the typical state of affairs of most people.

So Harry Potter, the glistening, red fire, completely purified from earthly influences and turbidity, to the extent that turbidity cannot even mix with him as we have seen from his encounter with Voldemort, has to put up with the Dursleys. He is of course stifled in this environment - not allowed to grow and evolve and realize his true potential of becoming the red sulphur like Dumbledore for example. It is just like the secret fire in our bodies, trapped in the prison of the body.

This continues until letters from Hogwarts start coming. This is like the beginning of the putrefaction, which is when the body starts to dissolve and the truth it is hiding becomes more manifest, but is still opaque behind the layers of earthliness. This produces an intense longing as the truth starts to become manifest and one can feel it within. The putrefaction continues and the Dursleys move to a shack on an island in the centre of nowhere in a vigorous attempt to escape from the truth. Little do they know that they are only aiding in its complete manifestation, because in the darkest depths of the dark night of putrefaction, the star of truth arises as the dissolution of the body is completed. This is the point at which Hagrid comes and saves Harry from the evil clutches of the Dursleys. From here, the spirit has escaped from the bodily prison for the first time on the way to Hogwarts. Hogwarts is the metaphysical life, with all its magical laws and realizations, awaiting the young neophyte who has embarked on the journey of redemption.

To be continued.

I enjoyed reading this, thank you. The secret fire is in you, once you accumulate enough and reach the saturation point, the stone starts to form, you become the stone. Like in the first video below, when you dissolve sodium metal in liquid anhydrous ammonia it turns blue, but if you add more sodium metal so the solution gets saturated, the whole thing turns into what looks IDENTICAL to GOLD. I tried this experiment and it does indeed turn to gold but when you take it out of the dry ice bath the gold turns into a self-igniting white powder. The point is to collect enough secret fire within you to reach the saturation point, then you transmute.

The second video is a color circle sort I like to meditate on it, you start with chaos/putrefaction and end up with what I call the CLEAR or the COMPLETE state or the Philosopher's Stone. How you do anything is how you do everything. Let's say you are cooking a meal and following a new recipe. You realize you need to go to the store and buy some ingredients, then you come back but realize you need to buy some additional cooking equipment like a steam basket. This postpones the completion of the recipe, you order the basket but you must wait for a few days to get it. Then something else comes up, i.e. one of the items you bought spoiled so you have to go to the store again but you are too lazy and postpone it for the next day, etc. Something always comes up that prevents you from completing the meal. This is the chaos that must be solved, this state of incompletion also parallels all other aspects of life. When you are in the "complete" state of being you can get anything done quickly.

And this is the second part of the Seeing Electrons with the Naked Eye video, well worth the watch:

Interesting, thanks for sharing. So the secret fire needs to get to a certain point for one to really start travelling on the spiritual path? That seems to agree with my own experiences at some point, but in my own experience it is more like this: fasting (or some other event) leads to a certain dissolution of the soul, whereby its hardness is dissolved releasing the spirit within. When I am in these "highs" I feel immense love for everything and feel that I am progressing on the path. But then something happens and I go "down" again and become cold. The best way of maintaining the fire of love I have found is by having a consistent ritual (meditation or some other thing) which one does every single day at the same time. This is kind of like a flask that contains the spiritual energies involved in the work. If this practice is abandoned, the energies dissipate as one becomes distracted by other things and one has to start again. (It is interesting in this respect how the Splendor Solis flask process begins the putrefaction with a flask already there, almost as though warning the reader that the spiritual flask process can only proceed when has a flask in place.)

If you have managed to maintain the fire for a long time until it has reached the critical point you mention, then all I can say is that you have surpassed most of us on this path.
