Thank you for accepting my application. I have been reading this forum for a long time, albeit with long breaks, as English is not my native language. In the Russian-speaking community, there are only a few resources where I have reread the most essential topics and tried to replicate some of the work. However, we do not have an active forum quite like this one.

To begin with, the ultimate goal of my pursuits is healing. Many years ago, a need for it arose, and I began studying witchcraft and magic under various teachers. The foundations of low sympathetic magic overlap significantly with spagyrics. I have inherited some notes from my late mentor, along with lingering questions to which I can no longer seek his answers. I hope that my presence on this forum will enlighten me and help me further develop in the Art.

To give you a brief overview of my modest experience and my previous interests in alchemy, I will try to list the operations I have performed from memory:

  1. Over the years, I have fermented a total volume of about 0.7 to 1 ton of wine. Separately, I distilled around 200-250 liters of brandy, whiskey, and sugar-based spirits. I also made hydrolats from various herbs that were at hand. In fact, for a couple of years, my job required me to work without days off, studying the production of all kinds of alcoholic beverages.
  2. I harvested various species of wildflowers native to my region, macerated them in white wine, and then distilled the mixture to extract the Spiritus of those plants.
  3. On several occasions, I collected 40 liters of snow and rainwater, and then waited half a year for the water to "bloom" (develop its life). I then distilled this water 7 to 10 times to obtain the Spiritus Universalis.
  4. I prepared a birch tincture. It is worth noting that this recipe was given to me by my mentor in witchcraft, and while it heavily draws upon spagyric plant elixirs, its purpose was entirely different. The tincture is meant to be ingested to receive answers from the spirit of the tree in one's dreams. Essentially, you drink it to attune yourself to the tree, so that it accepts you as its own.
  5. I don't recall the exact printed book I took the recipes from, and I don't have it at hand right now. However, I found an interesting process there: dissolving red coral in vinegar, filtering the solution, and then repeatedly adding water and evaporating it. The resulting salt possesses healing properties. I performed this with red coral, and later repeated the process several times with pearl. The instructions there also specified that many of the remedies should be taken with cinnamon hydrolat, so I prepared it myself to take it in its pure form.
  6. I didn't have lemon balm (Melissa officinalisEns of saffron instead, using Paracelsus's method involving potash. That was a long time ago. Currently, I am once again collecting this "heavenly liquid" to finally repeat the process with lemon balm, as per the original recipe. However, if I fail to find it, I will substitute it with another herb.
  7. Also, recently, I spent a whole month gently heating iron vitriol (ferrous sulfate) with water at a low temperature until it turned a deep blood-red color. This preparation will likely be used in my witchcraft practice as an active martial ingredient (associated with Mars).

Right now, I am occupied with a completely new and fully hermetically sealed process. I am currently figuring out how to properly document it and which subforum would be best to start a thread in.

Welcome, glad to have you here. Your experimental work sounds very interesting.
I like the purpose of the tree tincture.

Hi. You've had some very interesting experiences. You're not the only Russian speaker here.
I tried making my own cream of tartar while making my own wine, but it didn't work. Does anyone know if it's possible to replace cream of tartar with potash?

I think here those who speak Russian, no less than those who speak English. You're not the only one. I often see references to our scientists here.

Wine is cool. I have long tried to get a wine stone (tartar) out of my wine. But I did not understand how much wine it takes and how long to wait for at least 10 grams to get your real wine stone. I wonder if the salt from the vine (potash) is an equivalent analogue for tartar or not? And also the purchased tartar is suitable for work?

Taking this opportunity, I will ask these questions here, maybe someone can tell.
Greetings! Bold statement! :) You're the second Russian-speaking person I've seen here all this time. I'm writing in English because, if I'm not mistaken, forum rules require it.

I've never made cream of tartar myself, but in the Ens recipe I followed, it specifies purchasing technical-grade potash: https://spagyria.narod.ru/primumens.htm

Regarding cream of tartar, there's a simple recommendation on that same website. As I understand it, it's the ordinary sediment that forms after wine clarification. If you don't use clarifiers/bentonite, you can place the wine on a balcony or in a cool location, as the author suggests: http://spagyria.ru/vk.htm

I didn't use any clarifiers, I put it in a cool place, and no stones appeared. There was sediment, yes.

Please edit your Russian language post to English.

Also, check out What is Where and post your topics in the relevant forum sections.

Thanks.
I see. He was the one writing my reply. I wrote it in Russian. I just thought it was normal, because the guy here wrote a lot of posts in Italian. And not just some texts for the original source, but he wrote them himself, and everything was fine. No questions for him. By the way, what is your nationality? Is Andro your real name? Are you Armenian? English is fine. So we'll write our future posts in English.

our future posts in english
Please edit your previous Russian posts to English as well.

If you don't change them to English, they will be deleted.

Alfr writes in both English and Italian. So English is always present.

And post your work and sources in the relevant forum sections. This is only an introduction thread.

Thanks.

To avoid conflicts and post deletions, please write in English :) I use the free neural network Qwen, which instantly translates and formats text into alchemical terminology. From the link i posted above, it's clear that the dried sediment is indeed tartar (wine stone). I'm aware of the "Russian Alchemical Brotherhood" forum—it's dead. There are some interesting posts there, but unfortunately, it hasn't been updated in a long time. Here, no matter how you look at it, there's much more information. And the browser translates the text automatically.

I recommend studying Vlad's thread here (I think that was his name. He disappeared from the forum somewhere. I followed his manuscript (which for some reason disappeared, just like he did). I adapted his instructions a little. I used "Macrocosm Salt" dissolved in philosophical vinegar. Then I added literally a pinch of potassium nitrate. After reading the advice here on the forum, in the ghetto alchemist thread, I added magnetite sand. I forgot about this flask, and about a week and a half later, I saw in a dream how Hercules was lying on the ground, blowing steam from his mouth, which turned into crystals. When I woke up, I remembered this flask and went to the basement to check what was going on there. When I saw the flask, I was just shocked. The salt turned black! But the real fucking thing happened later. I filtered the mixture, distilled it, and a coating formed on the walls of the adapter. The crystals shimmered in different colors like a rainbow. I think this is There's that same ormus. Macrocosm salt somehow conjured it from magnetite. This is my first experiment with magnetite sand. I want to try adding this powder to vodka and drinking it, but I'm still hesitant. I'll probably try watering the lemon balm that grows in my garden. There's another funny coincidence. I had a decanter of beetroot juice in the basement, and a film the same color as this salt appeared on top of it. But the paradox is that the 19th-century crystal decanter was completely hermetically sealed. Is it safe to drink this juice now?
I'm trying to take a photo, but for some reason, from different angles, the colors change like a peacock's tail.
If anything is unclear, I apologize, as I had to use Google Translate.

Wow! This is truly a fascinating experience, just like the whole story. I’ve saved these hints and will try digging around the forum to find the remaining keys. There’s a piece of magnetite sitting under my computer monitor; in witchcraft, it’s considered alive and serves as the heart of certain composite objects. I think your lead can definitely be seen as a sign for me :)

Greetings! Likewise, nice to meet you too! Yes, that's correct, I have been consulting with the Idol Carver since 2020. Now I'm rereading all the notes I managed to save and trying to make sense of a particular recipe. I posted it in a separate thread this morning. It was originally published openly in the House of Galdr. I should clarify that I was not among the students who underwent initiation, the recruitment for which took place every summer.
