By the way, many years before being hired to translate this text, during my research into particular processes, I found the recipe for a particular tincture that became well-known through the curious story of the Swan Apotecary employee who managed to transmute lead and mercury into gold. The event took place in 1701 and can be found in the book "History of Alchemy" by Karl Christoph Schmiede, p. 479.

Since this process is related to the ICH text and the Piss-Kaktum path, and since the process was translated by me and I am not subject to any request for secrecy from anyone, I am willing to sell it for $500.00. The process comes with the translation of the respective records related to it. If 50 people are interested, the price is $10 each. Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks!

Is that the process performed by Godwin Hermann Braun? If enough people are interested, count me in.

Or you can use that same process to make gold and sell it for many, many times more :)

But if 10-20 bucks per share, why not... And perhaps this should be moved to a dedicated thread?

@Via Veritatis is this all the Lascaris derived powder lineage? If enough people are interested, sure, I would pitch in.

Which is why you know ahead of time what you are getting - likely a series of veiled / symbolic processes with some key components missing that ultimately cannot ever do what it claims it can do, but may provide some interesting insights or ideas. So long as people have a sense of what they are getting, its legitimate I think to sell translations, because you are ultimately selling a service you provided.

For those who claim to be selling the secrets to thing such as infinite health, infinite, wealth, infinite power, etc, they are the scam artists / charlatans. You see this all the time, not just in alchemy. For example people who sell self help courses on how to make it rich on ebay or amazon by leveraging high volume drop-shipping... well if that really worked, they would be doing it themselves, instead of selling courses.

We must remember the wise words (there were many) of P. T. Barnum.

In the category of tinctures, i.e., liquids obtained by of solutions oily metallic extracts, we have the account of Godwin Herman Braun from Osnabrueck who achieved the transmutation in 1701, using a tincture having the appearance of an oil, “rather fluid and of a brown color”. The famous chemist Henckel (5), according to Valentini, reports the following anecdote: “One day a stranger, who had a brown tincture with a smell close to hartshorn oil (6), came to a famous apothecary of Frankfort-on-Main, named Salwedel; with four drops of this tincture he changed a gros of lead into 7-1/2 grains of gold of 23 carats. This same man gave a few drops of this tincture to the apothecary who lodged him and who then produced identical gold which he saved in memory of that man, with the small bottle in which it was contained and where the marks of the tincture can still be seen. I had this bottle in my hands, and I can testify about it to the world”.

Fulcanelli then says: "Without disputing the truth of the last two statements, we nevertheless refuse to categorize these as transmutations brought about by the philosophers’ stone in its special state of powder of projection. All the tinctures meet this criterion. Their subjection to a particular metal, their limited potency, the specific characteristics they exhibit, lead us to regard them as simple metallic products, extracted from common metals by certain procedures called little particulars, which pertain to spagyry rather than to alchemy. Furthermore, these tinctures, being metallic, have no other action but to penetrate the metals which have been used as a basis fr thei penetration. Let us leave aside these processes and tinctures."

Yes, that's true. And if I had completed the process to the end, and been successful, I would never have needed to publicly mention that I possess this process, and we would never have had this conversation :)

The problem, in my case, as in the case of many, and as happens in most of the processes I've translated, is that the process has a part that neither circumstances nor resources allowed me to complete. And even more true than with the universal work, if you don't have all the necessary resources, you get stuck with particular works.

Resources as in money? Or specific substances/materials/chemicals?

Circumstances as in a location shielded from prying eyes and noses?

Ah yes, the elusive "unobtainium", which is the true secret material of all processes.

Resources are retorts, alambics, eletric furnace and/or other apparatuses.

Circumstances are location shielded from prying eyes but also for protecting them against explosions and gases, as well as time for operating.

Unobtaining is usually in reference to an unobtainable material which is key to some exotic process, but it can just as well be a reference to an unobtainable resource of another nature, whether that is equipment, time, privacy, etc. We all seem to have our own variations of "unobtainium" for whatever reasons, and those who do not I doubt they spend much time in open online discussions.

I don't mean any of this in a negative way directed at you, more like mentioning it because it is a common experience in general.

No worries. I guess sometimes I lack the proper nuance when writing online.
