@ghetto alchemist you might find this interesting.
Many years ago I made and sold chain mail jewelry / sculptures, mostly using copper solid core wire and stainless steel as my metals. I also got into some basic armor making, and had at some point made a wrist gauntlet, made of interlaced copper and stainless steel, that was approximately 4 inches in total width, and went around the wrist. It weighed approximately 1kg in total, and I would say probably around 80% of the weight was from the copper, and 20% was from the stainless steel. Chain mail is flexible, and basically when you wore the gauntlet, which was like a larger piece of heavy jewelry, it would sit on your wrist in such a way that it conformed to your writs, and made contact around your skin. At the two ends of the tube like gauntlet were interlaced leather strips around the circumference that allowed adjustment - basically the actual gauntlet was just large enough to snake it over your hand and onto the wrist, and then the leather strips could be slightly tightened so the gauntlet would not come off unless your untied the knots.
Anyway, I had worn this for several years, never really taking it off, and did not really notice anything extraordinary. It was just a piece of jewelry. I should also mention that I had some injuries from my teenage years, specifically damages to both of my wrist tendons, that were a result of several accidents, for which I received steroid injections when I was young. At its worst, my wrists were so weak that I could not hold a cup of coffee, nor turn a broom stick with my hand from the horizontal to vertical position by twisting, but the steroid shots helped, although I wore wrist braces for many years afterwards and regularly did wrist exercises to rebuild strength.
At one point I had taken the large cooper / stainless steel piece off, I think because the leather tightening straps were deteriorating. After a short period - I would say in under an hour, I notice a peculiar sensation on my wrist - it was like a low level electrical buzz, and it persisted for a day or two, before it subsided.
After a few days, I had gotten around to replacing the leather strap on the gauntlet, and put it back on. To my amazement, the low level electrical buzz had returned! It returned in a few minutes, pretty quick. I immediately caught on to what was happening here, and that led to later works in which I made larger sheets of copper and stainless steel chain mail that could be draped over parts of the body.
At one point, I was having a night over with a female friend who had certain abilities, for example we would do tests with multimeters, and in meditative states she could willingly change the resistance of the surface of her skin from positive to negate and back to positive, or hold it at a positive or negative level for some time. This was just holding the lead ends of the multimeter while sitting and concentrating / entering meditative states. I had some limited success with this as well - it's hard to describe the process, but I would say it is like a forced focus that was required.
I also had another friend that was developing what I would call a machine that was a full body stimulation device built up of strategically placed home theater level transducers mounted on a massage table, fed through various signal generator and amplifiers so it could produce targeted ULF waves. This friend spent a large amount of time involved in complex astral travel, as he put it, and I would say it was a large part of his life mission overall.
At this point I had made larger copper chain mail sheets, and with both these two friends, placing the sheets over parts of their bodies they could feel the oncoming low level electrical buzz after a short period of time. I also had other friends try it, and I would say other friends that did not have what I would call "special abilities" of this sort (but were non-the-less good people, just not "spiritual" in that sense"), and they did not notice any strange electrical buzzing from have the copper draped over them.
A limited test, for sure, but it led me to understand that the sensitivity to this phenomenon also perhaps included an ability to be sensitive to other types of subtle phenomenon. We later on discussed the potential that one could find the optimal amount and types of current to pass through these types of devices, or figure out the optimal designs so that the electromagnetic fields are in their most active states, but things drifted in different directions.
Of course, this "wearing copper bracelets" was, and still is, popular amongst those who are dealing with arthritis, but it's usually only a relatively low surface / cross sectional area of the copper in those types of bracelets, as it tends to be a single thicker piece of solid copper, instead of a larger spread out mesh like in the type I had made. I don't know if the addition of the stainless steel was responsible for anything or not - the larger sheets I had made later on for experimentation were copper only. One of my masters, whom I had met prior to this, had a copper bracelet himself, but he also had modified his penny loafers to hold the penny under the sole of his foot. Said it helped him with arthritis in the feet.
