Yeah I agree but at that point extracting the grease is meaningless since the salt itself could be altered and sublimated on its own.

I'll just do it as a proof of concept and toss it lol

The salt itself can become "seriously bent" from the bubbling in this case and may become more volatile.

Since you decided to follow the bubbling experiment this piece of information comes to mind:

When I visited Kevin at his lab in Australia he also described how he used copper sulfate as a chemical trap to extract ORMEs from the air. Copper sulfate is highly toxic when dissolved in water but, after collecting ORMEs from the air for a few weeks, a water solution of copper sulfate supports the growth of mold. This combination of ORMEs from the air and copper sulfate also dissolves glass as you can see at:

Ordinary copper sulfate in water does not dissolve silica.

Also you could add a toroidal magnet at the "exhaust" hole of your bottle that is supposed to prevent any of the diamagnetic gas excaping. Of the usefulness of this magnet I'm not sure since the water inside the bottle contains a capturing salt.
But probably you already know those things.

Testing magnesium chloride from the sea its quite good 👍
Probably on par with copper sulfate has the advantage of not being toxic, the "grease" sweetens and makes things non toxic.

I suppose it worked?

Extracted some liquid sealed some of it in a flask and some I poured some of it on a salt.

And after evaporation of the ether, does it leave behind a yellow "butter" that smells like citrus (lemon)?

I evaporated the ether and it left behind a clear oily water it did have a peculiar smell, I sealed the liquid in a 500ml flask and Teflon taped the stopper, I heated it once with a torch and put it in -26c freezer to crystallize, it makes niter like needles and there is a fraction which does not freeze.

Did you add a layer of ether and let it sit for 1-2 days?
And if so, did it turn cloudy?

A little bit yes.

Thanks for going to the trouble of testing this out, AND for letting us know about the results.

I'm calling this.....

If this comes from the magnetic vortex trap device that bubbles compressed air into water then it is an interesting observation.
However, if this observation comes from your second proposed experiment, the one that you bubble air into the magnesium chloride solution I would suggest to eliminate the following possibility:

The magnesium chloride might be a bit soluble in ether together with some water. Freezing point of water with a salt dissolved in it drops, thus it won't freeze inside the freezer and crystalized magnesium chloride has needle shaped crystals.

A blind test includes performing the same extraction on magnesium chloride solution without bubbling air into it first.

It was potash salt made from Aloe vera and Grapes.

Look into how to concentrate Magnesium chloride from Sea its very interesting and I highly recommend it.

After some cooking I got a needle salt.
40c or so fully sealed.
